The Sino-Sweden Waste Incineration Technology Monographic Seminar was held at State
Environmental Protection Administration Chinese-Japanese Environmental
Protection Center on September 5, 2000.
The seminar was organized by Chinese-Japanese Environmental
Protection Center, Chinese Environmental Science Committee & Solid Waste
Specialists Committee and China-epa.comamp; Technology
Co. Ltd. co-operatively.
At the Seminar, on the recommendation of Mr. Terry Ho,
Chairman of Chinese (Sweden) Environmental Protection Foundation, Mr.
Carl-Arne Pedersen, Engineer & Production Manager of the RENOVE
company, Sweden, introduced the Swedish Waste Incineration & Processing
Technology. And followed Mr. MÖller, Head of
Infrastructure Division, Hifab International AB, introduced a survey of his
company. The Renova Technology mainly consists of such processing steps as
sorting, incineration, heat-recycling (for electricity or heating), flue gas
cleaning and waste water processing. Armed with technologically reasonable
integrity and meticulous sorting, the technology applies to incinerating the
mixture waste from both industries and households. In addition, there will be
perfect incineration result, efficient surplus heat-recycling, easy operation
and maintenance. Furthermore, the effective flue gas cleaning and wastewater
processing systems enable the emission lower than the Sweden regulated
standards and even much lower than the new proposal incineration of waste
emissions for European Commission. Thus it meets what the Chinese environmental
protection requires. The whole operation indoor, the equipment's function
guaranteed, the tenure of use prolonged.
The following listed are the advantages of the Renova Technology:
1.
Sorting includes coarse separating, fine separation, crushing, magnetic
separation, milling, sieving. This step can effectively sort out the dregs,
metals and the incinerable materials in the mixture waste, improve the
calorific value of the sieved waste. It meets the Chinese conditions that the
waste in China is full of inorganic matters while the calorific value is low.
Sorting out the metal safeguards the incineration furnaces and recycles the
metals as well.
2.
Incineration includes feeding (through the electronic crane),
incinerating, exhausting the slag (and the emission). The electronic crane ensures
a steady feeding so that the feeding speed can be under control. The furnaces
for incineration are improved Martine furnaces and Von roll. Blowing into air
twice ensures a complete combustion and in particular the recycling of the heat
in the flue gas.
3.
Surplus heat-recycling is mainly for generating electricity and
providing heating. While generating electricity, the heating is available
through condensing the low-pressure status surplus steam in the turbines. Thus
the efficiency of recycling the surplus heat is promoted.
4.
The flue gas cleaning consists of procedures through electrostatic
precipitator, wash reactor, condensing reactor, fabric filter and reheating.
With electrostatic precipitator, 99% of the ash can be eliminated. The drop
separator in the wash reactor can clear away most small particles of dust,
hydrochloric acid, mercury and other metal ions. Condensing reactor is to clear
away the oxides in the ash while recycling the water in the pre-processing
waste to the flue gas cleaning to save water. Reheating is mainly to emit the
water in the flue gas into the atmosphere in the gaseous state in order to
deduce the water-processing cost.
5.
Waste water processing includes neutralization and sedimentation,
Ammonia stripping, flocculation and filtrating. Neutralization and
sedimentation gets rid of the acid substances in the wastewater. Through the
spraying under vacuum, Ammonia stripping can resolve the problem of the ammonia
emission. Then a precipitating agent (an organic sulfide) added, the ions of
the heavy metals can be eliminated. The suspension substances in the wastewater
are cleared away during the flocculation and filtering steps.
6. The concentration of Diotines emitted with the flue gas is 0.005ng/m3, which is lower even than the European Commission regulated standard of 0.1ng /m3.
